Bellambi Football Club - Established 1958

Bellambi Football Club (the "Rosellas"), is a not for profit, community based football club based at Elizabeth Park, Bellambi. a northern Illawarra Region suburb.

The Club was first founded in 1895 and played on the fields off Lismore Street, Bellambi. The Club was reformed in 1958 by members of the local community including Peter Banks, Stan Gill, Fred Telfer, Denis Lewis and Bill Creighton to provide a club and facilities for both junior and senior players to play football in their local area.

In 2020 Bellambi FC will play in the Football South Coast (FSC) Premier League with teams in 1st Grade, Reserve Grade and Youth Grade (u/20 years) and in Masters II O/35's. 1st Grade won the District League Premiership and Grand Final (v Oak Flats 2-1) in 2019, earning promotion to the FSC Premier League after 4 seasons in District League.

The Club has recently re-appointed Andrew Paine as its 1st Grade Coach and with Mitch Ramsay (Reserve Grade Coach) and Paul Anthony (U/20's Coach) the Club is looking forward to a successful 2020 season.

Bellambi FC aims to provide a pathway for junior footballers to progress to senior football via the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Russell Vale Junior Football Club.

The club has produced a number of top class football players including

- Scott Chipperfield who played 68 times for Australia, scoring 12 goals and participated in 2 FIFA World Cups. Scott returned to play the 2019 Season with his junior club, as a member of the District League Premiership and Grand Final winning team. 

- Robert Banks who played from the age of 10 years to 42 years at the club, captaining the club to its first Premiership in 1970, and captaining Illawarra versus Chelsea in the 1970's.

- Adrian Thompson, a goalkeeper, who represented Australia at U/17 level, played professionally in the English Leagues and returned to Bellambi to finish his career.
